Volunteers at the annual river cleanup and some of the debris removed from the "rec river"

There are several ways of supporting Missouri National Recreational River. Stop by the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center and browse the books and merchandise that will help you learn more about the natural and cultural heritage of the area. Buy a souvenir to remember your trip to the "rec river." Profits from the bookstore help benefit the park.

Leave No Trace canoeing and camping is an excellent way to preserve the resources along the "rec river" corridor.

Volunteers are always being sought to help out in the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center and to assist in the annual river cleanup in May. Did you know that during the fiscal year ending September 30, 2005, over 300 people and groups volunteered 1,200 hours to park operations and programs in Missouri National Recreational River.
